1. Water, water, water
Alcohol primarily dehydrates your body, so it is very important to get it hydrated again. Enough fluids could relieve from headache and dizziness. You should drink especially pure water, but you could go also with herbal teas, or drinks for athletes which contain lot of minerals such as sodium, magnesium, calcium, iodum, and many others. Many people have a tendency to drink a cup of coffee first thing in the morning, but in this case it is not the best idea, moreover, caffeine could make hangover even worse!
Alongside dehydration, body loses not only water, but also important potassium, therefore, always keep food which contains it, you will get fit faster! A great source of potassium are bananas, as well as spinach. If you are not very much in a state for cooking, or smelling the scent of a meal, you can just prepare a quick salad with spinach.
3. Fresh air
The worst thing you could do is stay in the room and cry "I shouldn´t drink that much last night". Rather than that, go for a walk to catch some fresh air. Oxygen helps to expel harmful toxins from your body much faster. Even if it is the hardest thing in that moment, just do it, your body will thank you for that.
4. Hot shower
Even if your head hurts like hell, and you would rather put a pocket of ice on your head, hot shower will help more. By stretching blood vessels in other parts of your body, the excessing blood will flow from the veins in the head, and you will no longer feel like you have too big brain for such a small head. You can put a stream of water on your neck and gently wipe it with a towel to promote blood circulation. Sauna would have the same result.
It is good to set an alarm clock a bit sooner and eat a good breakfast before you get sick. Ideally breakfast rich in protein, which could be eggs prepared in different ways - boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, omelette, ham & eggs, fried eggs.
A great medicine for hangover is honey. Contains fruit fructose, the only available substance that provingly accelerate alcohol degradation in the body. With a spoon of honey or grape sugar you will add a missing energy.
It does not matter whether you choose chicken, beef or just vegetable broth, each one of them will surely help you. Not only it will sooth your stomach, it will also add necessary sugars and missing minerals to your body.
