How to spend rainy holiday in Sevilla

Sevilla has more than 7 months of sunny and really hot days, but… Before visiting or coming to Sevilla for the autumn or winter time you should know that during this period Sevilla has some rainy and cold days as well. We need to say that adaptation is quite hard when you already have experienced more than 40 degrees here! Although cold season in Sevilla has its own magic and there are few recommendations how to spend rainy holiday in Sevilla!

    1. Crowded and cozy bars

    During the cold season every bar in Sevilla has been transformed into the cozy and crowded place where people spending time inside instead of sitting on the streets and eating cold tapas. One of the best things to avoid rain is to hide into these bars! We already discovered simple but also magical place close to Jardines de Murillo called La Carbonaria! This bar is hidden in one the narrow streets and has to offer not only homemade food, hot and cold drinks but also Flamenco shows for free! Another destinantion could be AlfaAlfa or La Bodega bar in AlfaAlfa square located in the heart of the city center. Small bars are full of vintage decorations which make you feel like you are back to 1800’s! 

    2. Pre-Christmas fair

    One of the biggest autumn fair called Festival de las Naciones in Prado de San Sebastian park next to the Plaza de Espana attracts bunch of people every year! This fair starts at the end of September and lasts until the 4th of November! Palm trees in the park are decorated with the light bulbs, people are walking around, listening to the concerts and enjoying one of the most lovely seasons of the year! Also you can find people in the fair selling not only small homemade things but also hot food and drinks. Festival de las Naciones is a perfect place to get lost!

    3. Possibility to visit museums for free

    If it is raining outside but you want to spend your time productive, probably the best thing is to get lost into some of the museums Sevilla has to offer! There are a lot of museums you can enter for free as Arqueology Museum, Museum of Arts and Folklore or Museum of fine Arts! Sightseeing makes you richer by broaden your mind and the only thing you invest is just the time!

    4. Cooking Spanish food

    Have you ever thought that it would be nice to know how to prepare Spanish food? Rainy and cold days are the best time to look for some recipes and get lost in the kitchen! It could be such a good surprise to your friends and family when you back home and cook something for them!!

    5. Watching movies

    Sometimes the best thing you can do when it’s raining outside is to stay at home and watch movies! Buy some snacks or cook something and enjoy your spare time!
